TEHRAN – Two bodies tasked with overseeing elections have officially validated the results of the May 19 council election in Tehran.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Alireza Rahimi, director of the supreme council for overseeing Tehran province’s council election, said 190 election complaints had been received, but all of them were rejected after investigation, IRNA reported.

Most of the election complaints were from the Khedmat (service) list, which lost the election, he said.
